change Switch mode L2 into L3
How to change Cisco Switch mode l2 into l3 by CLI in SG300 Series.
Firstly, login on login prompt on your Cisco Switch, put by default user name "cisco" and Password "cisco". After login once kindly change your password before configure you further configuration.
When complete all basic required configuration, The CLI mode will present with hash symbol. At the CLI prompt, type command on system mode to view current mode:-
switch 3000# show system mode.
After that let's switch to router mode:
switch 3000# set system mode router
changing the switch working mode will *delete* the startup configuration file and rest the device right after that. It is highly recommended that you will backup it before changing the mode, continue?
(Y/N)
Then press "Y"
After that let's check that our switch mode has been changed, which means our switch mode has convert L2 into L3 mode and we are able to configure as router mode also.
