How to remove shortcuts problem

Today most of the computers are having these shortcuts problem. When we plug in a pen drive or hard disk or memory card i.e., any removal disks into computer all of a sudden folders and files in the drive changes to shortcuts. Not only in removal disks but also our computer hard drive folders and files show shortcuts.

If we try to open the shortcut sometimes it says "Missing Shortcut" and we can't just simply format our removable disks or our computer because all the important data will be erased completely. Even though we use good antivirus software's like Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Norton, Avira, Avast, Eset, etc., this problem cannot be solved easily. So, we have found a simple way for this problem. Follow the below steps carefully to remove the shortcuts and retrieve back your folders.

Type these command to get back original files and folders:- 

Step A:- Go to Start -> Run -> cmd.
Step B:- Go to your pen drive memory cards or mobile phone directory.
Step C:- Now type: attrib g:*.* /d /s -h -r -s . (Replace g: with the drive name of your drive)
         And then press Enter.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Downloaded file is in .rar format. So, after downloading extract the .rar file using WinRAR or WinZip software. If you don't have winrar or winzip software download them from net directly they are available for free. After downloading and installing WinRAR or WinZip extract the usbfix software.

Step 3:

After extracting now double click on the Usb  Fix to open it. When you open the software a "User Account Control" message appears with yes and no options, click yes.

Now plug in all the pen drives, hard disks, memory cards which have the shortcuts problem and click on “Deletion" option in the software. Then it shows an message to connect all your external devices as you have already plugged in just click ok. Then another message opens to save all your work, click ok and the software starts running.

Note: Save all your work before running this software because it stops all the applications and software's and you cannot even open anything until the process is completed. For process it may 10 to 30 minutes based on the extent of problem. Don't try to close the software in between the process.
